Every child wants to have a special birthday party and so thought a boy. But he had an unpleasant surprise.
Little Toxey was about to celebrate his tenth birthday. He was going to have a great birthday party on weekend, and his mom Angela invited all his classmates by sending out birthday invitations. But on the day of the party, no one showed up. Kids can be mean sometimes, you know.
Both the boy and his mother felt devastated. Overtaken by emotions, Angela shared this sad story on social media. And then, something unexpected happened.
A group of Arkansas State Trooper appeared at the boy’s front door a couple of days after Toxey’s birthday. Apparently, one of the policemen heard about Toxey’s situation and decided to help. The policemen brought lots of presents, a large birthday cake, and their K-9 dog. The men spent the whole day with this kid, riding a police car, playing basketball, and simply having fun together.
This unexpected visit of four police officers meant a lot for a boy. Finally, Toxey had a fabulous birthday party he would remember for a long time. The policemen showed everyone that it does not take much to make someone else a bit happier. They also shared the story of this spontaneous birthday party on Facebook, encouraging other people to show kindness whenever they have a chance.
For any parent, it is really hard to see their kid spending their special day alone, with no one of their friends caring enough to come and join the party. No child should So, do not be indifferent the next time you or your kid receive a birthday party invitation. After all, birthdays are not about presents, they are about having fun, laughing, and being happy. And by simply showing up, you can make a great present to someone.
Mom thanked all the officers for the greatest surprise ever.
“I don’t even know where to start because saying “thank you” just doesn’t seem good enough! Saturday, I posted on my personal Facebook page that my son, Toxey, was disappointed that no one came to his birthday party. I guess an Arkansas State Trooper heard about the post, and what ensued is the stuff dreams are made of. This afternoon, after Toxey got home from school, a caravan of 5 state troopers pulled up at our house, K-9 included.
Not only did they bring him a birthday cookie cake, but they also brought him all kinds of presents, let him play with Rhino, the K-9, and play with the sirens in their cars. They ate his cake with him and played basketball with him. All out of the goodness of their hearts. They made my sweet baby’s day, and his year!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!! Come on friends, let’s make these guys famous! They deserve to be recognized for the wonderful people they are!!”
