A YOUNG bride on her way into church for her wedding was stunned when the butterfly she tattooed on her back in her dad’s memory – landed on her.
Francesca Barnecutt, 23, was arriving at St Columb Minor Church, Cornwall when the beautiful yet “eerie” incident happened.
The 23-year-old spotted the insect flying as she was walking into the church grounds – but to her surprise it landed on her.
Francesca was just about to marry photographer Terry Barnecut, when she felt “his spirit”.
She said: “I saw the red admiral come and land on the step, I immediately felt my dad was there.
“It was eerie. I visited my mum’s house two days before the wedding and there is a photo of my dad there.
“I was speaking about how strange it would if I saw a red admiral at my wedding and a beam of sunlight came through the window and fell on the photo of dad.
“I feel his spirit moved the butterfly to visit me at my wedding.”
The real admiral butterfly was her dad’s favourite insect – they often spotted it flying when they took walks together
